What Episode 3 sets up

Brett Richards “makes it crystal clear” he’s unimpressed with Station 42’s instincts after episode 2 (“Not a Stray”). Where the crew sees heart, he sees “deviance and red flags.” Sharon backs Richards despite misgivings because she believes his structure could help keep Bode “sober and alive.” That stance fuels friction with Bode, who is still reeling from Vince Leone’s death.
Sharon’s grief is central this week. She is letting go of Vince’s belongings and finds unexpected comfort in an encounter with Vince’s ex, Renee. CBS credits list Constance Zimmer as Renee Hoffman in Episode 3 promotional materials. One published listing names Jennifer Landon for the Renee mention; the on‑photo crediting identifies Zimmer in this appearance.
